About Georg Douglas
Originally educated as a geologist (PhD), I have worked in this field and taught for 36 years until retirement. I have been painting full time since 2005 and have held several solo and joint exhibitions. Although living in Iceland for most of my life, I was born and raised in Co. Derry, N. Ireland which explains the interest in Irish subject matter. I would be delighted for you to visit my official website here: artgeorg.com

Georg Douglas replied:
Thank you Alan for this very happy news. I think the contest has certainly added some Icelandic viewers to the group“s work and hopefully it will help spread interest in irish painters and subject matter. My very best thanks to you and all the members of the group. Kind regards, Georg.
