Thank you Karen. Flowers and dance - I think they are maybe the same?

Artist's Description

This painting abstracts from the wild movements in the high stepping Irish dance, while using colours and patterns reminiscent of Irelandīs ancient culture. In Irelandīs history and culture there is also perhaps an element of madness which I have also tried to convey.

About Georg Douglas

Georg Douglas

Originally educated as a geologist (PhD), I have worked in this field and taught for 36 years until retirement. I have been painting full time since 2005 and have held several solo and joint exhibitions. Although living in Iceland for most of my life, I was born and raised in Co. Derry, N. Ireland which explains the interest in Irish subject matter. I would be delighted for you to visit my official website here: artgeorg.com
